Sunset notice for v3 forms

In order to keep up the latest technology and security changes we have decided that we can no longer support forms that were built in v3 of our form builder.

More specifically, every form that’s created with the v3 form builder will be removed by the 1st of April 2024. Forms that were built in the v4 version will continue to stay active.

What is the v3 form builder?

The form builder of Dynamic Forms has seen some updates in the last few years. In 2020 we published the last update to our form builder which was v4. This update was necessary to incorporate some architectural and security changes. We were able to maintain the previous of the form builder but this has become more and challenging as technology moves forward.

What do you need to do?

For every form that was built in the v3 form builder you need to decide if you want to keep using this form. If you do, you need to manually re-create the form with the new version of the builder.

⚠️ It is not possible to clone a form from v3 to v4. You need to create a new form from scratch and add the form components to the new form.

How to see if a form was built in v3?

1. Control the URL

Log in to your account and go to the Forms overview page. Next to each form, click on the “…” below actions, then click on “share”.

All forms built in v4 will have “v4” in their URL.

All forms built in v3 won’t have “v4” in their URL:

⚠️ If there is no v4 in the URL, you need to decide if you want to keep the form and re-create it manually with the new version of the builder.

2. Open the form builder

Another way to see in which version the form was created is by simply opening the form builder (click on “Edit” next to each form).

The form builders of v3 and v4 look quite different so it is easy to see in which version of a form was created.
